Elisa Contreras Salazar graduated from Angelo State University with a degree in Arts in Spanish and English in 2002. Before and while she attended Angelo State University, she spent many years working at a law firm that focused on personal injuries. Elisa thinks that the personal injury experience gained at that law firm propelled her to enroll in law school. Elisa started her law degree at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. During her studies at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Elisa served as the general director of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review and as an intern for Judge George C. Hanks of the First Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas. After her graduation, Elisa joined the Fridge & Resendez, LLC law firm as an associate attorney focusing on commercial litigation and personal injuries. Elisa joined a firm focused on personal injury in Houston in February 2007. While she worked at this law firm, she acquired a lot of experience in the personal injury area. Her main interest was car and truck accidents, falls, work accidents, and unjust death. Elisa also helped run the office. Elisa enjoyed the opportunity of working closely with the clients and being able to help victims of injury cases. In her six years in this law firm, Elisa managed hundreds of cases leading them to a successful resolution. In August 2013, Elisa was chosen by the Mayor Annise Parker to serve as associate Judge for the municipal courts of the city of Houston. Elisa, being fully committed to public service, served as associate Judge of the city of Houston until August 2017. In May 2014, Elisa obtained her mastery in Law and International Law from the Law Center of the University of Houston. In her free time, Elisa enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. They enjoy going to sporting events, cooking, and working out. Elisa’s success can be attributed to her dedication and commitment to every one of her clients and their cases. She is proud to represent her clients and provide them with the attention they deserve. Elisa is passionate about what she does and is always willing to provide her clients with the help they need when it comes to personal injuries. Elisa and her partner founded Salazar & Velazquez, P.C. in 2013 and continue bringing success achieving justice for the victims of personal injuries.

 

Paola Muraira Velazquez

Paola was raised and completed her college education in Political Science in Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas in 2003. In her college years, she was not only successful in her studies, but she was also very active in university. After finishing her studies at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Paola started her law degree at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. During her time in law school, Paola was a member of the Student Bar Association, Hispanic Law Student Association, and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Paola was also selected to work as an intern in the Appeals Court in Corpus Christi, Texas. After her graduation, Paola went back to Corpus Christi where she joined a law firm which focused on a wide variety of cases. In 2008, she was presented with the opportunity to move to Houston and join a prestigious law firm that was quickly rising and that focused on personal injuries. Paola accepted the position following her passion for helping accident victims. During her time at this injury law firm, Paola worked on hundreds of transit accidents, truck accidents, unjust death, and work accidents cases. During her five years with that law firm, she was capable of solving these cases thanks to her hard work, dedication, and commitment to each and every one of those cases. Thanks to her capacity of speaking and writing in her native language, Paola was an essential part when dealing with their Spanish-speaking clientele. In March 2014, Paola was assigned by Mayor Annise Parker to serve Houston as a hearing adjudication officer. Paola enjoyed this opportunity and being able to help Houston and its citizens. During her free time, Paola enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys cycling, running, and traveling with her family. Paola has dedicated her law career to fight passionately for her clients. As a lawyer, her objective is to represent every client strongly and dedicate as much time as necessary to obtain the desired results. Her unwavering commitment and work will continue to achieve success for her clients. Paola met her partner in law school and they worked together for five years in the personal injury law firm mentioned previously. Paola and Elisa founded Salazar & Velazquez, P.C. in 2013 and now continue their success in the search of justice for injury victims.
